Motorola Moto E4 Plus: A Power-Packed Budget Smartphone
Lenovo owned Moto has come up with a new smartphone that belongs to the entry-level section. The Moto E4 Plus is designed to meet the daily requirements of the average user with an all new upgraded processor, a good camera and more. The smartphone is an upgraded version of the Moto E4 and will be available for sale as a Flipkart exclusive.
Design and Display: Smart Enough
Like many budget smartphones, Moto E4 Plus has a 5.5-inch touchscreen display. The smartphone has a thin bezels and the display reproduces brilliant colors with a pixel density of 267 PPI. The outer body casing of the phone is metallic and the fingerprint scanner is embedded inside the home button for easy unlocking of the phone. In the rear side, the camera console is positioned at the top center rear with the moto logo boasting just below giving the phone a premium class look.
The outer covering of the Moto E4 Plus is made of a water-repellent coating to protect it from splashes, however, when comparing the looks of the smartphone with Moto E4, the upgrades of the E4 Plus can only be seen in specifications while the design and looks of the smartphone remain same as that of the younger sibling.
Processor: Nothing New
The Moto has given a MediaTek MT6737 Quad-core 1.3 GHz to the heart of the Moto E4 Plus which is the same as that of the Moto E4. While talking about the processor, MT6767 is an entry-level SoC with good performance and will meet all the expectations of the user in daily scenarios.

To have the much out of the processor, Moto E4 Plus is equipped with 3 GB of RAM while the Moto E has only 2 GB of RAM. Moto E4 Plus will showcase a 32 GB variant which is an upgrade from the 16 GB internal storage of the Moto E. The storage capacity of the smartphone can be expanded with a microSD card up to 128 GB.
Camera: A Reasonable Upgrade
Moto E4 Plus has a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0, autofocus and LED flash. It can capture videos at a resolution of 720p at 30 frames-per-second. The primary camera of a 13-mega pixel is a decent upgrade from the 8-megapixel camera of the Moto E4.
The primary camera took good pictures even in low light and is devoid of high noise thanks to the sensors used in the camera and the image stabilization techniques. The front camera is 5-megapixel, which is the same pixel that of the front camera in Moto E.
OS & Battery Capacity: Massive
The smartphone comes with Android Nougat out of the box, and future upgrades are possible with this smartphone to Android O. Android Nougat runs smooth on Moto E4 Plus as the processor supports it with a RAM of 3 GB, which is a slight upgrade from 2 GB RAM of the Moto E4.
The major attraction of the Moto E4 Plus is its battery, Moto has given Moto E4 plus with a massive 5000mAh non-removable battery so the users will get almost two days of immortality with this device. The Moto E4 has only a 2,800mAh battery and considering this, this upgrade is much worth for the given price tag.
The Motorola Moto E4 Plus is a single SIM (GSM). Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Headphones, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
Price and Availability:
Moto has priced the Moto E4 Plus at Rs 11,600, which is a good price tag for the specifications the smartphone provides. Moto E4 Plus is available only as a Flipkart exclusive.
Verdict:
Moto E4 Plus with all its design and specifications showcase high competition with the Redmi 4 and the Lenovo K6 power. With a massive battery, updated processor, good RAM and decent internal storage, Moto E4 Plus is a good catch for buyers looking for a power-packed smartphone under a decent price tag.
