After the much anticipated launch of the Lenovo A6000 in India and its registrations going on in full swing, we have yet another 4G LTE Smartphone to add to the competition. Redmond-based manufacturers stated that the Microsoft Lumia 735 would be launched today. While Lenovo teamed up with Flipkart to sell its A6000, Microsoft would be selling off the Lumia 735 via Amazon only.
The Lumia 735 made its international debut at the IFA held in Berlin in September 2014. While the 730 could pave its way quite easily into the Indian markets then, Lumia 735 found its right time now.
This single SIM phone sports a 4.7-inch HD ClearBlack OLED display that delivers a pixel resolution of 720x1280 (~312 ppi pixel density) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is armed with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC processor clocked at 1.2GHz with the Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM that runs on Windows Phons 8.1 OS with a Lumia denim update. Adding to its storage capacity is an 8GB internal memory with an expandable memory up to 128GB, along with 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.
On its rear section, the 735 features a 6.7MP primary camera with a f/1.9 lens, coupled to an LED flash. What Microsoft claims to be its Selfie camera houses an f/2.4 24mm wide-angle lens with a full HD 5MP sensor on the front. The phone comes preloaded with a Lumia Selfie app that allows users to retouch images and add more beauty and life to them.
This smartphone gets its energy from a Li-Ion 2200mAh removable battery which claims to provide talk-time up to 22 hours in 2G networks and upto 17 hours in 3G networks, while its stand by time is expected to go up to 600 hours. It is also compatible with wireless charging facilities and supports external audio connectivity other than the usual 3.5mm headset jack on its top end.
Taking a look at its aesthetic side, the Lumia 735 is a pretty phone that comes with a design of beauty both on the inside and the outside. It comes in a wide range of vivid colours that make sure that your eyes wouldn't miss this phone. As for its size and weight, this phone has its measurements at 5.3x2.7x0.35 inches and 134 grams.
The Lumia 735 features connectivity options like GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G HSDPA with a speed of 42.2/5.76 Mbps and 4G LTE Cat4 with a speed of 150/50Mbps. It also supports Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity and provides screen projection options as well.
Even though the Lumia 735 comes preloaded with the best features from Microsoft, would it play along with the price war started by Lenovo A6000? Definitely, the answer would be a no. This smartphone comes in an estimated price range of Rs 17000-20000.
