Japanese multinational video game developer company, SEGA revealed that they are bringing the retro games to Android and iOS. SEGA is best known for their multi-million game franchises; Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Fighter, Phantasy Star, Yakuza, and Total War.
The company will provide the games through a new service called Sega Forever, all the games will be free and a payment of $1.99 will turn off the ads. The game can be played with Bluetooth controllers and by online leaderboards and support game saving features with the help of cloud.
As of now, the company released Sonic the Hedgehog Comix Zone, Altered Beast, Kid Chameleon, and Phantasy Star II to Android and iOS. The company said that “it will include both official emulations and ported games that pan all Sega console eras, each adapted specifically for mobile devices while remaining faithful to the original games.”
