In a world where nothing’s too bizarre anymore, Russian phone customiser Caviar has decided to launch a Nokia 3310 ‘Putin - Trump Summit’ edition. The phone’s been designed to pay homage to the meeting of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump at the G20 summit.
This device is functionally no different from a normal 3310, but the differences are marked when it comes to design. The body of the handset has been made of titanium and this shell has been coated with a Damascus steel pattern. A gold-plated image of both the presidents looking in the same direction has been mounted on the back panel of the phone. According to the makers, the presidents share a “common desire for progress in US-Russia relations” and hence are looking in the same direction. A golden strip below the image of the presidents has the date and venue of the G20 summit etched onto it. The phone will be sold in a leather case which has black velvet coating on it.
The cell phone has been priced at $ 2468 (around Rs. 1,60,000). ‘Putin - Trump Summit’ editions of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus too are available for prices starting from $3,050 (around Rs. 1,97,000).
The great thing about the ‘Putin - Trump Summit’ editions of phones is that based on your political affiliation you would immediately know whether to be friends with or to keep away from a person carrying this phone.
