Indian smartphone maker Lava has launched a new model named Lava A93.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Functioning on 2 GB RAM, the device has been provided an internal memory of 16 GB. The external memory is expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card.
The A93 has a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. An 8 MP primary camera and a 2 MP selfie camera have been included in the phone. Both the cameras are accompanied by LED flash. The rear camera comes with HD Recording, HDR, Photo Timer and Grid facilities. Video recording facility is available on the secondary camera too.
This phone doesn't support 4G and is only 3G compatible. The dual-sim phone is backed by a 3000 mAH Li-ion battery. Additional features like Smart Screenshot, Video PIP, Smart Music and Smart Gestures have been provided with the phone to enhance user experience. The handsets come in gold and grey colour variants.
Priced at Rs.7,999, the Lava A93 will be competing for space in the market alongside Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Redmi 4A, Lenovo K6 Power, Motorola Moto C Plus, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, Motorola Moto E3 Power, and Motorola Moto G4 Play. Considering that most users are gravitating towards 4G enabled phones and that even cheaper phones are 4G compatible, it will be difficult for A93 to justify its existence among other phones in its segment.
