Huawei has finally revealed the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus, the newest addition to the company’s Nova midrange series. The biggest feature addition this year is the setup of the dual-rear camera, which is now becoming a standard feature on Huawei and Honor Series smartphones.
Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus took design elements from the sister brand Honor. Both smartphones sport dual-rear cameras (12MP + 8MP) with f/1.8 aperture and support optical zoom. There is also a 20MP Selfie Shooter full HD video recording support and beauty 4.0 mode.
Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus features 5-inch and 5.5-inch displays, with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. The smartphones are powered by the Huawei Kirin 659 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage on Nova 2, and 128GB on Nova 2 Plus. The handsets run EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus are 6.9mm thick and weigh 143 grams and 163 grams respectively. The Huawei Nova 2 will be available in5 colour variants - Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue & Green.
The Nova2 comes at 2,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000) whereas the larger Nova 2 Plus will be available at 2,899 Yuan (approximately Rs 29,000). The smartphones will go on sale starting June 16 in China and pre-booking has been started.
