With a host of unique features tech giants HTC has released its new flagship phone, the U11, in an event in Taiwan. It boasts of several unique features including the Edge Sense through which the user can interact with the phone via a squeeze. Opening applications and Camera can be done via Edge Sense, a revolutionary technology. Different levels of pressure can be used for accessing different features of the device.
HTC U11 has a 5.5" Quad HD 2K display. The design also includes 3D glass on both front and rear to essentially make the device feel more secure and comfortable to hold.
With a simple squeeze, the revolutionary Edge Sense lets us take photos, launch our favourite apps, text on the go and much more. Through out of the box thinking HTC are now bringing us the next age of phone interactions. Edge Sense dramatically expands the functionality of the phone. We can configure it to access a wide range of functions and applications. One squeeze can open Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest. And with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa just a squeeze away, you get two powerful voice assistants ready at your command!

It also comes with latest version of HTC USonic headphones, which now combines active noise cancellation with the ability to tune audio to your unique hearing.
HTC U11 also comes with USonic Boomsound Hi-Fi Edition speakers.
The latest and one of the fastest chips currently on the market - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC powers the device.
HTC has also introduced what it calls the UltraSpeed focus along with a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-pixel autofocus, f/1.7 aperture, OIS and electronic stabilisation.
HTC is also introducing HDR Boost which offers clearer, more balanced pictures by taking multiple shots that measure the darkest shadows and brightest highlights without any slowdown. HTC U11 enhances textures and colors, increases visible detail and brings out the best in every shot. The 16-megapixel selfie camera has been optimised for taking snaps in low light and comes with a wide-angle lens. It also has a Selfie Panorama mode.
HTC U11 has ditched the standard 3.5-mm jack and features a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou on board.
The U11 has a water resistant design with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded. The phone packs a 3,000 mAh battery, which supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. The HTC U11 will come in five different colours, including Sapphire Blue, Amazing Silver, Solar Red, Brilliant Black, Ice white.
The U11 will be available in some regions from next week and early June for the rest of the world.
