Google announced its expansion teaming up with their editorial team to provide a rotating list of apps that provides excellent Android experience, the list will include apps with great design, technical performance, localization, and device optimization and also follows certain guidelines and best practices set out by Google.
Divide into two categories of apps and games, the Android Excellence appears in the Editors Choice section. Google’s Android Excellence program will update its rotation of apps on a quarterly basis as it is a more time-consuming process to review a large portion of apps residing in Google Play Store. While users can taste apps that provide Android experience there is also a downside to this as users won't get as many new apps as possible on the list as it gets updated quarterly only. But this will favor app developers as they will get a huge exposure out of this move.
