Messenger Lite is just the same as the usual one, just that Lite is a much lighter version, occupies lesser space and is meant for slower internet connections. In the foreground to the user, it doesn’t make much of a difference except that it goes easy on your phone. Sending and receding of texts, photos, videos, emojis and stickers would all remain the same.

Messenger Lite was first unveiled in October 2016, by April this year it made way into several regions and finally on July 13 to India.
